Family outings

Quiet and peaceful in winter, lively and festive in summer, the lakes of Ardres are a pleasure to visit for walkers. Marked paths with wooden pontoons, picnic tables, a pedal-boat rental service and even a children’s playground invite you to relax and discover this unspoilt site.
In summer, the lake is alive with events and festivities, including a spectacular fireworks display on July 14, sports races and guided tours.

A remarkable natural area

A former marshland area, this site grew out of the traditional exploitation of peat, which lasted until the mid-19th century, when this means of heating was abandoned in favor of coal. The lake then became an elegant place for walking and fishing, of considerable tourist and environmental interest.
Its typical wetland flora and fauna make it an exceptional place to visit. Come and feed the ducks, stroke the horses and goats and learn more about the plants that grace the lake at the Maison de la Nature!
Located on rue des Rainettes, it’s a place to discover and learn about nature conservation. Workshops are regularly organized for families and schoolchildren.

Are you passionate about nature? Take part in Eden 62’s free workshops! Children and adults alike can explore our natural areas and discover the plants, insects, birds and mammals that inhabit them. Naturalists will introduce you to wildlife observation and photography, teach you about the role of insects and the use of wild plants, and tell you about the legends that surround these areas.

Why not head for the lake? So calm and yet so alive! Come and discover the exceptional flora and fauna it has to offer, then take part in the various water sports.
