The 5 Creeks Trail

Places of interest :

The countryside in 1900 with Alfred’s collections, Alfred Lorgnier will share his passion for wood with you with his exhibition of tools from bygone days that he has been pampering for years.

La Chapelle Sainte Thérèse – AUDENFORT: created in 1929 by the Lorgnier family, originally from Normandy, who worshipped the Carmelite nun from Lisieux, the family decided to build a religious complex after the canonization of Thérèse Martin in 1925, entrusting the design to the Audomar architect Vandenberghe. The Romano-Byzantine chapel, with its brick and flint, cream-colored walls and wooden ceiling, houses a shrine of the venerated saint dressed by the Carmelite nuns of Saint-Omer. Today, the site belongs to the Sainte-Thérèse committee and remains remarkably well-maintained.

Welcome to Licques, famous for its poultry. Honored every year during the Fête de la Dinde in December, it was the Premonstratensian monks of the Abbey who introduced turkeys to Licques in the 17th century. All that remains of the abbey is the abbatiale, which you can admire before starting this hike, and even enter to arouse your curiosity.
